resident artists & studio space

SPA rents studios to working artists and art collectors at reasonable rates in order to provide space for creative work, art exhibition and learning opportunities about contemporary art; provide opportunities for artists and others to collaborate; and to integrate the general public with working artists and others in order to expand participation in the visual arts.  Please contact SPA if you are interested in renting studio space in the building.

SPA Studio Residency Program:
SPA is inviting emerging artists from the greater Barre/Montpelier area to apply for an 11-month studio residency program that will take place Nov. 13, 2021 to October 31, 2022.  A small private studio on the second floor of the visual arts center will be provided at no charge to an emerging artist who wants to build a new body of work for exhibition.  Click here for more details...
