Water & fire are integral forces in the long life of the Nichols Block – now home to our region’s art center Studio Place Arts (SPA). This image shows the flood of 1912 and our Nichols Block (on far right). We’ve experienced high waters many times in our 23 years here! Come and tour SPA exhibits before, during, and after the Festival. Bring your stories of epic forces in Barre – who knows, you may spark a creative future art show. Families may join in the fun at Mathewson Playground on July 27. Click HERE for information about our Mural Art Party. (Wear your painting clothes! For ages 5-10 yrs. with an adult.) Also, take the Art Stroll around historic, downtown Barre. Click HERE for information.
