In the Main Gallery: What’s Cooking? June 26 – August 16, 2024 A show that examines our lives at the kitchen counter, stove and the dining room involving more than 25 artists (see below). Food Donations! SPA requests gallery visitors to bring shelf stable food donations for the Food Shelf at Capstone Community Action. A donation box will be at the gallery front entrance. Violaceous Exhibit Dates: May 1 – June 15, 2024 While the color purple is relatively rare in the natural world, the SPA gallery will overflow with various shades, from bold magenta and periwinkle to earthy plums, wines and pomegranates. During the season when farm lilacs are budding and bursting into bloom, this symbolic color formerly reserved for royalty will have its day at SPA. The show includes imaginative student artworks made from flood-soaked bricks recovered from the SPA basement. |
