Studio Place Arts (SPA) experienced a significant flood on July 10th, and we’ve been working on a variety of repairs over the past 7 months. One of the repairs has inspired this art fundraiser involving the creative re-use of damaged bricks from the foundation of our historic building, the Nichols Block.
We are thrilled that a group of our artist friends stopped by to collect a brick or two from our brick pile to make artworks for our Silent Auction. We thank them for their creativity and support.

Here’s how the Silent Auction works:
- The dates of the Silent Auction are: Jan. 24 – Feb. 3, 2024. Final bids will be received at 5PM on Feb. 3 (see below for more details).
- The highest bid wins the item; 100% of your bid supports the SPA Flood Recovery Fund.
- You may participate by bidding in-person or on-line. (NOTE: On-line or telephone bids will not be received after 3PM on Sat., Feb. 3. In-person bidding will continue at SPA’s Art Social event, scheduled Sat., Feb. 3 from 3:30 - 5PM.)
- There are minimum bids listed for each artwork. Bidding is in increments of $20.
- There are Buy It Now options listed for each artwork.
- Winning bids will be announced at the Art Social. Winners not present will be notified on Monday, February 5.
- Payments should be made within 1 week following notification.
We encourage you to visit SPA to see these original works. If you are unable to visit and you need more information, let us know.
