Rock Solid XXII Exhibit Dates: September 14 - October 29, 2022 Main Floor Gallery at SPA This annual stone sculpture exhibit, since 2000, showcases stone sculptures and assemblage by area artists and other work that depicts the beautiful qualities of stone. That Cat July 6 – August 20, 2022 Art Social: Thurs, July 21, 6-7:30pm (masks required for all attendees) Some feline lovers think cats are living sculptures. The Egyptians thought of cats as gods, shipyards put them to work to protect food stocks from vermin, others have viewed them as symbols of bad fortune. Cats inspired T.S. Elliott to write poetry while Mark Twain provided prose. This show will include a variety of work about domestic cats and their people. by Sonya Sagan-Dworsky January 26 – February 26, 2022 In the Quick Change Gallery A climate awareness art project that uses watercolors of food packaging to bring attention to trash generation. Sonya’s Benefit Project: Prints of five select watercolors are for sale; 25% of the price will be donated to Vermont Energy Education Program (VEEP) and the Union Elementary School art program, two institutions supporting art and environmental education in Vermont. This show is on display in the Quick Change Gallery, a tiny white box gallery in a repurposed telephone booth at Studio Place Arts. |
