Auction of Art by the late Ray Brown
Studio Place Arts (SPA) is pleased to present a fundraiser, “Building on a Legacy,” featuring work by the late Ray Brown, a talented artist and long-time owner of The Drawing Board in Montpelier with his wife, Jody.
Jody Wilson Brown donated art to benefit SPA’s continued work to fortify its 1880’s historic structure from the ravages of future flooding. We are working to complete repairs on a corner section of our basement foundation and we have a portion of the funds in hand. We need to raise at least another $5,000 in order to complete this section.
Building on a Legacy Fundraiser:
The highest bid at 3PM on February 13, 2026, wins the artwork. Bidders may choose to purchase the artwork(s) immediately using the “Buy It Now” price.
SPA asks winning bidders to pay for their work either by using the Paypal button listed below OR if bids are made in person, SPA accepts personal checks and credit cards. SPA asks bidders to complete their purchase of artwork(s) promptly (by February 21, 2026). SPA will obtain a shipping estimate for winning bidders who live outside our area, which would be an additional cost.
100% of your bids will support our SPA Building Resiliency Fund.

The highest bid at 3PM on February 13, 2026, wins the artwork. Bidders may choose to purchase the artwork(s) immediately using the “Buy It Now” price.
