The regions in Canada create an artistic mosaic with their diversity: The Maritimes, Rockies , Plains, Old Quebec, First Nations and more. Inspired by Thom Thomson, Canada 's unique artists known as “The Group of Seven” felt that Canadians would recognize themselves if they saw the beauty of their landscape.

The Group of Seven came together in the 1910s and initially included: Lawren Harris, Arthur Lismer, A.Y. Jackson, J.E.H. MacDonald, Frank Johnston, F.H. Varley, and Frank Carmichael.

Dr. William Tortolano will present their works with many slides, video clips and commentary.

Dr. William Tortolano was a Professor of Fine Arts and Music and College Organist at St. Michael's College for more than forty years. He is an author, composer, conductor, and organist, and has performed at Notre Dame in Paris . He was a Visiting Fellow at Cambridge University and had a fellowship at Yale in Medieval Studies.
