Mayfly, Americana/Old-time duo with Julia Wayne and Katie Trautz, is a Vermont based band that performs old-time New England and Appalachian music, as well as original songwriting on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo and vocals. Mayfly has been performing for over 12 years, touring throughout the USA and Canada. Mayfly intersperses close harmony vocals with strong instrumentals influenced by blues, ballads, and American roots music. The duo currently celebrates the release of a third album 'Sweet is the Morning'. At the SPA BASH, the women are joined by local banjo player extraordinaire Ted Ingham, of 'Kick em Jenny' stringband.
Jazz standards from such greats as Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Irving Berlin and originals of my own. A link to his original compositions.

Seeing the Forests for the Trees
This group show reflects the diversity of woody plants and the feeling of forests, including nontraditional and traditional media and small installations.
In the second floor gallery:
Silent Auction to benefit the SPA nonprofit art center and its programs. A variety of donated art and other items, including featured artists Wendy James and Rene Schall. Bidding starts April 25 and concludes at the BASH on May 12.
In the third floor gallery:
Visual Jazz - Homage to the Earth, by Roger Goldenberg, includes oil on canvas assemblages and a series of monotypes inspired by our Earth’s climate, weather and geology.
Open Studios Weekend

Visit working artists at Studio Place Arts and view 3 art exhibits. Artist studios are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the art center – enter via the main gallery. Follow the Yellow Signs & stay posted for hours and details. While visiting Barre, take the “Art Stroll” and view granite sculptures around downtown Barre.
